Conditions
Motor runs pretty cool for this setup, even without a fan. Will do runs in the low 50’s all day long. I can use a full batteries worth of 2s and the most this motor ever gets is uncomfortably warm. I plan on using 17/54 gears and a solid differential for my next run because I only need a couple of passes, and it will only add an additional 29% load on the motor which isn’t a terrible amount and theoretically the solid differential will reduce the load a little.

Bill WebbMay 27, 2026hi it's bill webb i want to let you know that i've bought two new ovonic 11.1 3s lipo batteries but i have never changed my gearings for 10yrs since i've had my rustler vxl so yeah my gearing is still 33 pinion gear and 76 spur and i'll soon hit the 70mph club soon
